Where the heart is bitter, words are bitter; where the spirit is pure, words are pure.

Words are always the outflow of what dwells within. A heart filled with envy or resentment will inevitably produce speech that wounds. A spirit attuned to Light will speak peace, even without effort. To purify speech, therefore, one must first purify the inner life. Do not struggle to fabricate noble words outwardly while harboring impurity inwardly, for such a mask will soon fall. Work on the heart, and speech will be transformed.
