The fire of anger grows stronger when met with anger. But when confronted with calm clarity, aggression falters. The noble man speaks with a peace that cannot be shaken. He does not fight the storm with storm, but lets the storm break against the immovable rock of calmness. Such peace is not weakness but strength, for it disarms the adversary by showing him the futility of rage. In clarity lies the victory of noble speech.
"Aggression is quenched not by contention, but by clarity in peace."
